Integrative Medicine

Integrative medicine and health places major emphasis on the importance of the relationship between practitioner and patient! It focuses on the whole person and is informed by scientific evidence, while making use of all relevant therapeutic and lifestyle approaches. It utilizes modern healthcare techniques and disciplines to achieve optimal health and healing- as naturally as feasible. Integrative Medicine emphasizes wellness and healing of the entire person; including the biological, psychological, sociological, and spiritual components. Its primary goals are met by drawing on complementary Conventional and Alternative medical approaches, all within the context of a supportive and effective physician to patient relationship.

Family Medicine

This is the division of primary care that provides comprehensive and continuing health care for the individual from cradle to old age. In other words, the Family Physician takes care of the entire family; across all ages, genders, diseases, and parts of the body. This is based on knowledge of the individual in the context of the family and the community. It emphasizes the promotion of wellness and the prevention of diseases.

Chronic Disease Management

Some of our patients have complex, chronic diseases that require diligent management. The emphasis of our practice is on the prevention of diseases, that without the proper care, can often become complex diseases. For those patients that present on-going chronic diseases, we present them with the road map to wellness through Mind-Body techniques that help them regain their health as naturally as possible. We use medications, when it is inevitable and appropriate, until it is possible for the body’s natural healing principle to take over.

Bio-Identical Hormone Therapy

The use of Bio-identical hormones is predicated on the fact that it is the same exact molecular structure as the hormones produced naturally in the human body. The human body cannot and does not distinguish between administered bio-identical hormones and the hormones itself produces. Humans are able to properly utilize, naturally metabolize, and excrete bio-identical hormone from the body. The use of bio-identical HRT has increased during the last several years as women have sought out a more natural approach to restoring hormonal balance.
